Catalyzing Agricultural Excellence: Principal Secretary’s Inspection at Ndanai Cereal Stores
An official visit to Ndanai cereal stores in Sotik Sub-County, Bomet County, led by the Principal Secretary for the State Department for Agriculture, Dr. Kipronoh Ronoh Paul, CBS, highlighted the government’s continued efforts to enhance agricultural productivity and support the farming community. The purpose of the visit was to conduct a thorough inspection of subsidized fertilizers and certified seeds, essential inputs that contribute to improving crop yields and strengthening the livelihoods of farmers.

This initiative reflects the government's unwavering commitment to ensuring that farmers have access to high-quality agricultural inputs, all of which are approved by the Kenya Bureau of Standards (KEBS) and other regulatory bodies. By guaranteeing the equitable distribution of these inputs, the program aims to enhance food security, increase agricultural productivity, and address the ongoing challenges within the sector.
The inspection was also attended by KEPHIS Board Chairman Hon, Joseph M’eruaki and Managing Director of the Agricultural Finance Corporation (AFC), Mr. George Kubai, along with other key stakeholders. Their presence underscores the collective effort to optimize resource allocation, support sustainable farming practices, and drive economic growth in rural areas.
Through such initiatives, the government demonstrates its commitment to building a resilient agricultural framework that empowers farmers and fosters socio-economic development. This visit serves as a clear example of how coordinated leadership and strategic actions can transform the agricultural sector and positively impact the nation's overall progress.
