Courtesy Call from Kenya’s Ambassador to Germany Set to Boost Kenya–Germany Agricultural Trade
Today the 23rd January 2026, the Ambassador of Kenya to Germany, Amb. Stella Mokaya, accompanied by a representative from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, paid a courtesy call to the KEPHIS Managing Director, Prof. Theophilus Mutui, at KEPHIS Headquarters, Karen.
Discussions focused on opening and expanding access for Kenyan agricultural commodities into the German market. The meeting resulted in an agreement on priority export commodities, including avocado, mangoes, bananas, vegetables, nuts (macadamia, cashew nuts and groundnuts), passion fruit and sweet potato.

This engagement marks an important step in strengthening Kenya’s agricultural exports by creating more market opportunities for farmers and exporters, which aligns with the KEPHIS Strategic Plan 2023–2027 under Trade Facilitation and the Service’s mandate to facilitate safe and increased market access for Kenyan agricultural produce.
