KEPHIS Board and Senior Management Pay a Courtesy Call to Nyeri Governor H.E Mutahi Kahiga
The KEPHIS Board and Senior Management, led by Chairman Hon. Joseph M'eruaki, paid a courtesy call to H.E. Mutahi Kahiga, who was represented by his Deputy Governor H.E. Kinaniri Waroe of Nyeri County.
This visit highlights KEPHIS’s commitment to partnering with the County Government to enhance Agriculture by assuring the quality of Agricultural inputs and mitigating negative impacts on the economy, environment, and human health.
During the visit, KEPHIS expressed gratitude for the 15 acres of land given by the County Government of Nyeri at Wambugu Farm ATC for the establishment of KEPHIS Nyeri offices and a demonstration farm, which will help provide seamless services to Nyeri farmers and farmers in the entire Central and Eastern Region Economic Block.
Together, KEPHIS and the County Government of Nyeri aim to improve Agricultural productivity through plant health services, seed certification, and plant variety modification. The team met with the KEPHIS Nyeri office staff and later planted trees at Nyeri Wambugu Farm.
