KEPHIS Staff Retirement Benefits Scheme Members’ Education and Pre-Retirement Training
The KEPHIS Staff Retirement Benefits Scheme Members’ Education and Pre-Retirement Training Programme was launched on 8th June at KEPHIS Headquarters and is currently being rolled out from 15th–19th across Naivasha, Embu, Mombasa and other stations nationwide. The programme is equipping members with the knowledge and practical skills needed for effective retirement planning, sound financial decision-making and sustainable living.

The initiative brings together key facilitators, including the Retirement Benefits Authority (RBA), Minet, the Scheme Administrators and Gen Africa. These partners are providing expert guidance on retirement preparedness, financial planning, investment strategies, wellness and member benefits. Through interactive sessions, participants are gaining a deeper understanding of retirement planning, financial management and approaches to achieving long-term financial security.

Members’ active participation and thoughtful questions demonstrate a growing appreciation of the importance of early retirement planning. This engagement also highlights increasing awareness of sustainable financial practices that support future well-being and financial independence.
In Embu, participants also took part in a tree-planting exercise, underscoring the link between sustainable living and securing the future for generations to come.


The programme will continue with sessions in other KEPHIS offices in : Kitale, Nakuru, Kisumu, JKIA and Muguga. This expanded outreach will ensure that more members can access valuable information and expert guidance to make informed financial decisions and prepare for a successful retirement.
