Strengthening Governance & Financial Sustainability | KEPHIS Board and Management Training in Mombasa

This week 4th -8th August, the KEPHIS Board of Directors led by Hon. Joseph M’eruaki and Management team led by Prof. Theophilus Mutui, commenced a week-long intensive training on corporate governance, resource mobilization, and policy presentation at the Kenya School of Government in Mombasa.

   

On Day 1, 4th August 2025, the team explored the foundations of resource mobilization and fundraising, delving into trends, principles, practices, and innovative strategies for diversifying institutional revenue streams.
Day 2, 5th August focused on the design and implementation of a resource mobilization strategy, with emphasis on practical tools, strategic planning frameworks, and critical success factors for sustainable financial growth.

  

This training directly supports the KEPHIS 2023–2027 Strategic Plan, specifically KRA 5: Institutional Capacity under Strategic Objective 5: To Enhance Financial Sustainability. It reflects the institution’s commitment to strong governance structures, forward-looking leadership, and resilient resource strategies that will ensure long-term impact and service delivery across the agricultural sector.
